Why Our Monthly Flat Rate Fee Is Better

We have learned a thing or two in our 25+ years as consultants. We know what works, and we know what could stand to be improved. This is why when we started our own business, we implemented a couple of radical changes. One of the biggest is that at BrinsonAnderson Consulting, we work on a flat fee instead of an hourly fee. Here are a few of the reasons why our monthly flat rate fee is better for your business and bottom line.

Freedom to Call or Email Anytime

One of the roadblocks that we came up against again and again in our previous jobs was a client not calling us with a question because he or she didn’t want to be charged. We get it, but oftentimes, this meant that instead of being able to nip something in the bud, a small issue became a big issue. With BrinsonAnderson, you are never on-the-clock. We want you to feel free to call or email us with any:

  • Question

  • Concern

  • Gripe

Our job is to be your partner and alleviate stress. This means that we want to be there to help you without any of the “surprise” fees that often arise with an hourly rate. Our monthly flat rate fee is consistent, predictable and customized to your practice. We are big fans of a budget so we love that with a flat fee, you know exactly what to expect each month.

Monthly Fee Customized to Your Practice

Customized is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days, but what does it mean in terms of our monthly fee? It means that your fee is going to be based on the scope of work that your practice needs at any given time. Some practices have more issues and require more of our time while others simply need us to touch base a few times a month. Our fee is based on the work we agree to provide. And it can be adjusted at anytime, should your needs change.

Typically, at the beginning of a working relationship with a practice, we need to be more hands-on, putting out fires and helping you implement the systems that will allow your practice to reach peak efficiency. However, with time, your need for us may diminish. Although we require an annual contract, with 30 days notice, you can change the scope of your monthly fee. We are not in the business of charging you for something that you don’t need. But we do like the annual contract as it lays out our commitment to each other. And as we all know, commitment is important for any partnership to flourish.

Travel Included

The other thing that clients love about our flat rate monthly fee is that travel expenses are included. This means no “uh, oh” expense reimbursements after a planned onsite visit. More importantly, it means that we can all order that expensive bottle of wine at dinner and not feel guilty. Now, that’s what we call reducing stress!
