Why We Love What We Do

Starting a new business, just like running your own practice, takes a lot of hard work, dedication and time. So, it helps if, like us, you love what you do. BrinsonAnderson Consulting is literally our dream job. At the age of 4, Cheyenne told her grandmother that she was going to run her own business. At the time, her penultimate dream was a Kool-Aid stand, but as happens, she grew up and her dreams evolved (although she still loves a good fruity “mocktail”). During our careers, we have often said to clients “if it was my company….”. Now, it is ours, and we are practicing what we preach and having a ball. Here are a few of the reasons why we love what we do.

Utilizes all Our Skills

Since we both have MBAs and have been practice managers, there is some overlap in our skill sets. But we also each have individual experiences and expertise that we get to bring to the table. Cheyenne is a CPA and a member of the Accounting Hall of Fame. She has been a Director of Business Operations and has over 20 years of consulting experience. Amy started working in a plastic surgeon’s office at 18 while still in college, and has held every non-clinical job that there is to hold in a practice. She’s also worked in a private practice, hospital employed group and academic center so she really understands the idiosyncratic nature of each different setting. Our wide range of complimentary skills makes us particularly adept at customizing a plan for your unique business needs.

Being Part of a Team

One of the reasons why we started our own business is that we love being part of a team and seeing that team succeed. In our past consulting work, we would come in, identify the problems, come up with a plan and then leave right before things got exciting. With our new business model of fewer clients, monthly plans, and more hands-on attention, we get to stick around and help you implement the solutions. It is deeply gratifying to watch our clients turn their practice around by becoming more:

  • Efficient

  • Profitable

  • Streamlined

It, honestly, never gets old.

Creatively Challenging

Every business has its sweet spot. You know, that thing that fills up the coffers creatively. For us, it’s the challenge of finding new ways to solve problems. We love pushing ourselves to think outside the box to come up with solutions to your practice problems that actually work. It’s what makes our work not feel like work.

A few other things that we love about our job are:

  • Being the “right hand”, confidant & trusted advisor of a surgeon

  • Getting to constantly meet new, smart & interesting people

  • Travel

Ok, that last one may be on hold for now. But one day soon, we will be back on planes — visiting far away lands and getting inspired for even better ways to help your practice soar. To find out more about how BrinsonAnderson Consulting can help your practice, contact us here
